As a new transplant in the beautiful Colorado Springs, Ryel an international Brazilian Zouk Lambada instructor, is excited and ready to share the joy of this dance and all the amazing benefits it provides to our health and spirit.
Learning Brazilian Zouk Lambada not only improves our connection with other dancers by developing sensitivity and body awareness, but it also has the natural effect of helping us connect to ourselves.

Ry'El creator of Zenzouk has been developing this beautiful method of teaching Brazilian Zouk Lambada year after year, continuously evolving keeping the same ingredients yet creating new recipes for a flavorful and rich ways of learning BZL.

Ry'El Zenzouk is not just an artist; he's a force of creativity, a performer, a choreographer, an instructor, a dance coach, a mentor, and a dedicated community builder. Serving as a Council member of the American Lambada Organization, Ry’El is the visionary behind ZenZouk—a vibrant advocate and joy-spreader of the Brazilian Zouk Lambada.
Zenzouk transcends traditional teaching methods; it's a living expression of Brazilian Zouk and Lambada. It intricately weaves together body movements with a rich tapestry of exercises and philosophies inspired not only by the elements—Earth, Water, Fire, and Air—but also by a myriad of visual, auditory, and kinesthetic imagery and concepts. These diverse elements serve as powerful tools, creating a multi-sensory experience that deeply supports the learning process. Zenzouk is not just dance instruction; it's a sensory journey, a fusion of movement and imagination, designed to elevate the learning experience and immerse participants in the beauty and complexity of Brazilian Zouk and Lambada.
Ry’El's mission goes beyond steps; it's about fostering a deep appreciation for each style, creating a robust foundation of versatility rooted in the evolution of classical techniques from the dance's origin (Lambada).
Currently calling Colorado home, Ry’El has travelled the globe and the USA, igniting the dance floors with his fervor for partner dancing and personal solo movement. As the co-organizer of prestigious events like the New York Zouk Festival in Manhattan, Lambanapolis Crossroads Festival, and Zouk 'n Play in Atlantic City, he continues to shape the dance landscape.
His formal dance training spans classical ballet, jazz, modern, Latin, and social dances such as Salsa, Bachata, and Cha-cha. Ry'El's mastery of various Brazilian Zouk Lambada styles allows him to craft not just movements but experiences. His teachings are an exploration of expressive sensuality and a fusion of technique, engaging the mind and body in a unique dance connection.
Recent additions to Ry'El's repertoire include certifications as an Egoscue method Postural Alignment specialist and a Creative Leadership coach from The Art of Alignment Academy by Anne-Marie Duchêne. These certifications enrich his teaching approach, providing a holistic perspective on both body and mindset in each class.
Having shared his art across the globe and dedicated a decade to the New York dance community, Ry’El's heart led him to settle and help build and support communities in Hawaii, Indianapolis, Columbus and and now Colorado. Ry’El's wish is to continue sowing the seeds of Brazilian Zouk Lambada's love, reaching and supporting communities and spreading the joy that movement bring into our lives.
