" Finding a mediative state of artistic movement and expression by connecting to oneself and others"

Ry'el is not just an artist—he's a force of creativity, a performer, a choreographer, an instructor, a dance coach, a mentor, and a dedicated community builder. With a deep passion for LambaZouk—a dance that evolved from the famous Lambada in the 1980s—he believes in the transformative power of dance to enhance movement, connection, and expression in people's lives.

Since discovering LambaZouk in 2010, Ry'el has played a significant role in the growth and evolution of the dance in NYC and the USA. As a council member of the American Lambada Organization and the Lambada World Dance Council, he has dedicated his career to teaching LambaZouk and expressive movement for social dancing. His creativity and energy shine through in every class, workshop, event, and performance.

As the visionary behind RAD method (Ry’el ART Dance), Ry'el has developed 3 main concepts and philosophies that transcends traditional methods. His approach blends Brazilian Zouk and Lambada with a rich tapestry of exercises and philosophies inspired by Geometry, Numbers, and the elements of nature—Earth, Water, Fire, and Air. This multi-sensory experience creates a profound learning journey, allowing dancers to explore movement in unique and expressive ways.

Ry'el ART Dance method (RAD) for Lambazouk is built on three core concepts: Dance Calligraphy (2023), Lambazouk Dimensions (2018), and Zenzouk Colors (2013). Each concept integrates movement with visual, auditory, and kinesthetic elements, offering a comprehensive curriculum that accommodates diverse learning styles. Ry’el’s approach makes learning LambaZouk dynamic and engaging, helping dancers grow in their own unique ways.

Ry'el's mission goes beyond teaching steps; it’s about fostering a deep appreciation for LambaZouk and Brazilian Zouk, building a strong foundation rooted in the evolution of classical techniques from Lambada’s origins. His method helps dancers develop fluidity, versatility, and a deeper connection to the dance.

Originally from Venezuela, Ry'el has lived in various parts of the U.S., including NJ, NYC, Hawaii, Indianapolis, and now Colorado. Between 2010 and 2022, he taught and performed in over 17 countries and 34 cities worldwide, sharing his love for dance across the U.S. and Brazil—the birthplace of LambaZouk.

Since 2023, Ry'el has embarked on a new chapter as a solo artist and mentor, focusing on empowering local community builders and dance scenes that have limited access to LambaZouk. His current work has supported communities in New Mexico, Hawaii, NJ, and now Colorado, spreading the joy of movement through his Ry'el ART Dance method for LambaZouk.
